SCOTT, Ark., Sept. 28 (UPI) -- About 250 people searched Saturday for a realtor who has been missing in central Arkansas since Thursday.

Beverly Carter, 51, was reported missing Thursday by her husband after she failed to return home from showing a house to an unknown potential buyer on Old River Road in Scott.

She was supposed to show the house around 5:30 p.m. and after he didn't hear from her for three and a half hours, Beverly's husband, Carl Carter, went to the house.

"Her car was there, and the house was wide open, and I knew that something was wrong," Carl told KFSM-TV, Little Rock, Ark.

Beverly was described as being 5 feet, 2 inches tall, 145 pounds and having blond hair and green eyes. She was wearing a black, sleeveless shirt and red shorts at the time of her disappearance.

Carl said he received three text messages from her cell phone around 1 a.m. Friday, none of which sounded like her.

"All of a sudden I received three texts in a row. One said 'Yes.'... Then she sent another text that said, 'My phone's low. The battery's down, and I'll call you whenever I get signal.' ...And, then, straight back-to-back, I received a text that said 'Oh, I'm out drinking with some friends,'" he said. "Beverly's not a drinker...We just want our mom back, and my wife of 35 years...I need her."
