NEW YORK, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Jill Tarlov, who had been on a ventilator since she was hit by a cyclist in New York's Central Park, has died, her husband said Monday.
The cyclist, Jason Marshall, 31, had not been charged Monday morning. Marshall, a saxophonist who lives in Manhattan, was questioned and released after the crash Thursday afternoon.
Tarlov, 59, a former reporter for WINS-AM, lived in Fairfield, Conn., with her husband, CBS executive Michael Wittman. She was crossing the West Drive near 63rd Street in a crosswalk when she was hit.
"My wife was beautiful in every way imaginable," Wittman said in a statement.
Police at the site of the crash handed out fliers Friday on traffic regulations for bicycles and urged cyclists not to exceed the 25 mph speed limit.
