Stratosphere crash driver commits suicide

Stratosphere crash driver, Ryan Brown, was found dead of suicide one day after he was released from jail.

LAS VEGAS, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- An Indiana man accused of crashing his truck into the entrance of the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel and Tower in Las Vegas was found dead of suicide one day after he was released from jail.

Ryan Brown, 40, of Fortville, Ind., was arrested Sept. 10 after he allegedly crashed his 2004 Ford F-150 through the casino's glass front doors after a six-day drug bender, police said.

He was released from jail Monday. Prosecutors said they needed more time to prepare their case against him.

Brown was found dead at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino Tuesday. The Clark County coroner's office ruled his death a suicide by hanging.

He was set to have an Oct. 15 hearing related to the crash case.
