CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Missing UVA student Hannah Elizabeth Graham was captured on surveillance video being followed by a man shortly before she disappeared, say police.

The video shows Graham at 1:06 a.m. walking in the downtown mall area with a white male following her. Footage at 1:08 a.m. shows a man following her as Graham walks with someone else. Police have not confirmed whether her companion was male or female, reports WUSA-TV.

An earlier video shows Graham running past a gas station, but there was no one seen chasing her and she eventually slowed to a walk.

Police are continuing to actively search for her and piece together the details of the night she disappeared.

"Hannah is beyond precious to us, and we are devastated by her disappearance," her parents, John and Susan Graham, said in a statement released at a news conference. "It is totally out of character for us not to have heard from her, and we fear foul play."

Graham has been missing since Saturday when she walked home from a party alone before texting her friends a message saying she was lost. Charlottesville Police recommend anyone with information regarding her disappearance contact them.
