PHOENIX, Aug. 27 (UPI) -- For the third time this month, Marilyn Hartman was arrested at an airport without a ticket.

Hartman, a "serial stowaway" who was arrested on August 4 after flying from San Jose to Los Angeles without a ticket, was arrested on criminal trespassing at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix on Wednesday.

Airport employees spotted Hartman, 62, loitering in the terminal near the baggage claim around 11:30 a.m., Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump said.

After her successful flight, Hartman was sentenced to three days in jail of time served and two years of probation, and banned from LAX without a ticket. Within a week, she was spotted again by airport security while wandering the terminals, and arrested again.

Hartman was sentenced on August 13 to 177 days in jail for violating her probation, but was released three days later due to overcrowding, Los Angeles County Sheriff's records indicate.

She was also arrested on August 20 for trying to enter through security without a ticket at Sky Harbor.

Hartman has now been caught attempting to board a plane without a ticket at least nine times, including three separate attempts in February to board flights bound for Hawaii.

In May, prosecutors said Hartman was determined to be suffering from a mental illness and would be suitable for residential mental health care. And on Wednesday, Phoenix police requested a mental heath evaluation.
