SANFORD, Fla., Aug. 5 (UPI) -- A Florida police officer is out of a job after a two month investigation determined he taunted a hungry inmate with McDonald's french fries before needlessly threatening to Taser him.

According to the 30-page investigation, on June 4, Seminole County Jail trusty Victor Gonzaga Rivera was washing Sanford police officer Mike Hinkley's patrol car at local police headquarters. The inmate was applying tire shine to the cruiser's wheels when Hinkley, apparently upset with Rivera's cleaning abilities, drew and activated his Taser.

Rivera fled the scene in search of other officers, fearing Hinkley was going to attack him.

Investigators determined the incident was the second instance of Hinkley allegedly acting abusively toward Rivera; earlier on the same day as the Taser incident, the now-former police officer reportedly taunted a hungry Rivera with McDonald's french fries.

While in the cruiser, Hinkley allegedly held up a bag of McDonald's just past the security barrier dividing the two men, teasing "Here's your food," before offering to feed Rivera french fries through the barrier.

Hinkley was put on administrative leave on June 4 and fired Monday.
