WAYNE COUNTY, Ind., July 14 (UPI) -- A Greyhound bus headed for New York got into a head-on collision with a stolen car on Sunday, killing the alleged car thief and injuring 18 people aboard the bus. According to police, the bus was traveling eastbound from St. Louis to New York City when a stolen 1990 Ford Mustang traveling on the wrong side crashed into the bus on Interstate 70 in Wayne County, Ind.
Police were contacted around 7:30 a.m. Sunday who found Phillip Lloyd dead in the mangled sports car.
Eighteen bus passengers were taken to nearby Reid Hospital, and the driver was airlifted to Indianapolis' Methodist Hospital.
The Mustang Lloyd was driving was reported stolen from a truck stop in Richmond, Ind. shortly before the crash occurred.
