WASHINGTON, July 7 (UPI) -- U.S. District Judge Richard George Kopf sounded off on the Supreme Court's recent decision on Burwell v. Hobby Lobby by telling it to "STFU."
Kopf is a George W. Bush appointee who has made several controversial comments in the past, including telling Congress to "go to hell" and telling female clerks to "tone it down" and dress more conservatively.
In his latest opinion, he wrote that the Court's decision on Burwell v. Hobby Lobby "looks stupid and smells worse."
"Next term is the time for the Supreme Court to go quiescent -- this term and several past terms has proven that the Court is now causing more harm (division) to our democracy than good by deciding hot button cases that the Court has the power to avoid. As the kids say, it is time for the Court to stfu."
He provided a link to urbandictionary.com to explain the definition of the acronym.
