BROOKLYN, N.Y., June 25 (UPI) -- An elderly woman caught on video stealing purses in Brooklyn, N.Y., was arrested by police on Tuesday.

Hannah Harris, 68, has been charged with two counts of grand larceny and one count of criminal possession of stolen property.

Police said that Harris targeted Mullanes Bar & Grill in Fort Greene on Sunday, when she allegedly stole a purse from a 45-year-old woman.

Surveillance video footage shows a woman walking casually past a set of tables and taking a purse of the back of someone's chair.

Authorities believe that she's also behind the June 1 theft of a purse from the Tea Lounge in Park Slope.

"Everyone was like, 'why would an old lady steal a purse,'" a Tea Lounge employee told the New York Post.

"It's just weird. You expect a teenager or a homeless person on the street to do that. Not a 68-year-old lady."
