John Balyo, 35, was arrested Friday at the Big Ticket Festival in Gaylord, Mich., a major Christian music festival. He was suspended from his position at WCSG, a radio station operated by his alma mater, Cornerstone University.
Battle Creek Police Sgt. Jim Martens said that Balyo allegedly paid Ronald Moser to arrange for him to have sex with a boy in May. Balyo, a resident of Caledonia, Mich., faces charges of criminal sexual conduct.
Moser was arrested after a police search at his home in Battle Creek on June 5.
WCSG General Manager Chris Lemke encouraged the station's listeners Monday to pray, telling them "the people of God will not lose hope." He said the station has severed its ties to Balyo.
"We pray for John. We pray for his bride and new stepson," Lemke said. "Most importantly, please pray for the victims of the allegations."
