ROSENBERG, Texas, June 16 (UPI) --

Officers Aerial Ronell and Ranell Roy of the Rosenberg, Texas Police Department have become a viral sensation after a video of the duo lip syncing to Katy Perry's single Dark Horse was posted online.

Ronell and Roy, who call themselves "Hip Hop Cops," recorded the video on the dashboard camera of their patrol car, taking turns performing the single, coordinating upper-body movements and shooting the camera sly looks.

There's no controversy to be found in this moment of F.O.P. fun, as the video did not interfere with the officers' assigned duties and was posted by the Rosenberg Police Department on their official YouTube page. The video currently has almost 600,000 views
