WARSAW, Poland, June 4 (UPI) -- Secretary of State John Kerry defended himself on Twitter after an ABC news camera caught him snoozing at a press conference in Poland.
The active traveler was attending a press conference with President Barack Obama and Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski, when he was recorded taking a power nap.
Brian Ries of Mashable tweeted a picture of the sleepy secretary, and Kerry tweeted back with an airtight defense.
.@moneyries just a really long blink!

In his defense, Kerry is not the only politician who has been caught nodding off in public. Vice President Joe Biden was caught catching some shut-eye during a speech by Obama. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was also caught evaluating the inside of her eyelids during Obama's 2013 State of the Union address.
