PASCO COUNTY, Fla., June 3 (UPI) -- A Florida man was charged with double homicide the day after he was released early from prison in Savannah, Ga.

Christopher Lamarr Amy was serving time for drug and DUI charges, but he was granted early release from his two-year sentence on Friday.

According to the Tampa Tribune, a friend picked Amy up at prison and drove him back to a mobile home in Florida. When he arrived, the 42-year-old became upset when he found items -- including his parents' ashes -- "not in the condition he expected."

Amy then allegedly argued with Raymond Rossi, 56, and Jason Allan Heintz, 39, about the condition of the items and threatened to "cut someone's throat."

When Amy returned to the residence of the man who picked him up from prison, he was reportedly wearing bloody boxer shorts and his thumb was injured. The man told police that a "Buck knife" which was found at the crime scene belonged to him and that it was missing from his garage.

Police arrested Amy on Saturday and he is being held without bail at the Land O' Lakes Jail.
