7 people shot at Chicago laundromat

A shooting at a Chicago laundromat injured seven people, including two teenagers, on Monday night.

CHICAGO, June 3 (UPI) -- Seven people, including two teenagers, were shot Monday night on Chicago's South Side.

The shooting took place at Sudz, a local coin-operated laundromat, around 8:30 p.m., local time, and spilled into the parking lot of the Horizon Plaza strip mall.

Fire officials said the youngest victim, a 14-year-old boy, collapsed a block away from the scene. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. A 16-year-old was also injured, while the rest of the victims ranged in age from 27 to 52.

Monday nights shootings come on the heels of a deadly weekend in Chicago. From Friday night to Sunday night, seven people were killed in separate shootings around the city.
