NEW ORLEANS, May 28 (UPI) -- Outspoken Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson will be speaking at the Republican Leadership Conference on Thursday in New Orleans.

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal will join Robertson as a featured speaker at the event.

Other prominent members of the Republican Party scheduled to speak at the conference include former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Sen. Ted Cruz, Gov. Rick Perry, Rep. Michele Bachmann and Donald Trump.

Television host Sean Hannity is also scheduled to do a live broadcast of his show from the conference.

Robertson did an interview with GQ magazine last year during which he compared homosexuality to bestiality and he reiterated similar sentiments during an Easter Sunday sermon he delivered to parishioners in Louisiana.

A&E suspended Robertson indefinitely from Duck Dynasty in December, but he has since been reinstated by the network.

The sixth season of the show is scheduled to begin June 11.
