DALLAS, May 27 (UPI) -- Former President George W. Bush had knee replacement surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago on Saturday, and is now "recovering quickly" in Dallas.

"He did have a successful outpatient partial knee replacement surgery on Saturday in Chicago," Bush rep Freddy Ford told the Star-Telegram.

Ford said that Bush has already returned to Dallas and is "recovering quickly."

Bush has taken up mountain biking in recent years, after jogging began to impact his knees. He show signs of knee pain during a 100K bike ride with wounded veterans at his Crawford ranch earlier this month.
