NEW YORK, May 20 (UPI) -- After a month of courting, Hillary Clinton has chosen to give ABC News the first interview about her new book Hard Choices. The recorded in-depth interview will be conducted by Diane Sawyer.

Networks had reportedly been counter-bidding to be the first to interview the likely candidate for president about her new book, each offering different inclusive packages, including rarely-parceled prime time programming.

To secure former secretary of state's time ahead of their competitors, ABC will broadcast the interview or portions of it across its entire family of networks and online platforms and give Robin Roberts an exclusive first live interview with Clinton the day after Sawyer's airs.
