FITCHBURG, Mass., April 21 (UPI) -- Jose Oliver, the father of 4-year-old Jeremiah Oliver, who was found dead Friday, said he thinks the boy's mother, her boyfriend and others had a hand in his death.

Elsa Oliver, 28, and her boyfriend, Alberto Sierra, Jr., 23, were arrested in December on assault and child endangerment charges related to the then-disappearance of Jeremiah. The Fitchburg, Mass., boy was reported missing in December, but investigators believe he'd been missing since September.

Jose Oliver said the apparent sudden appearance of the suitcase on the side of Route 190 is puzzling.

“I’m right here, right now, where they found the body at, and I know that the body has not been here for no six months,” he said Sunday.

“There’s more people involved in this besides my wife and Alberto Sierra. A couple of people know what happened,” Jose Oliver said. “My question is now who did it and why they did it. I want answers. Why did he get thrown here? When did he get thrown here? Why all of a sudden the body just appears from nowhere?”

“I just can’t believe that he was thrown here like that, like he was an animal or something,” Jose Oliver added. “How you going to have the heart to take a 5-year-old boy and wrap him up in a blanket and put him in a suitcase? That’s a monster.”
