NEW YORK, April 15 (UPI) -- Chelsea Clinton said in a recent interview that she would consider running for office in New York if she didn't support her representatives.

"I live in a city and a state and a country where I support my elected representatives," the 34-year-old told Fast Company.

"If at some point that weren't the case, and I didn't support my mayor or my city councilwoman or my congresswoman or either of my senators -- and I'm lucky to live in a state where I have lots of women representing me, you know -- maybe then I'd have to ask and answer the question for myself, and come to a different answer," she added.

Clinton told Jimmy Fallon last month that she's been getting questions about her presidential ambitions since she was a toddler.

“Very few days go by when I don’t get that question,” Clinton said.

Clinton's most recent statements, however, mark the first time that she's been specific about the offices that have peaked her interest.
