ORLANDO, Fla., April 11 (UPI) -- A judge revoked bail Friday for the man suspected of killing a 4-year-old girl in a crash at a day care center in Winter Park, Fla.
Robert Alex Corchado, 28, surrendered to police Thursday, a day after his SUV allegedly struck a Toyota that slammed into a KinderCare Learning Center, killing Lily Quintus. Bail was originally set at $100,000, but at a hearing Friday, an Orange County judge said prosecutors can present evidence Monday on why he should remain incarcerated until his trial.
Corchado was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
Nicole Quintus told the New York Daily News that her daughter was "too broken to put back together" after the crash. She said she was buying ice cream for her 7-year-old son, Ethan, because he had made the honor roll, when she got a call from a KinderCare employee.

Quintus said her daughter "just made everyone fall in love with her." She said Ethan, who was with her at the crash scene, is now trying to build a time machine to bring his sister back.
“She was incredible and she deserved so much more,” Quintus said.
About 50 children were at the day care center at the time of the crash. Late Thursday, three were still hospitalized -- one in critical condition and two in serious condition.
Maj. Cindy Williams of the Florida Highway Patrol said Corchado abandoned his Dodge Durango after the crash and rented another vehicle. Police said he has a history of drug arrests and has served a term in prison.
