March 30 (UPI) -- Secret Service officials confirmed Sunday that an unidentified man had climbed over the north side of the White House fence at 3:55 p.m. ET.

Officers immediately apprehended the climber on the north lawn, while the White House went into brief lockdown.

The suspect is likely to be taken to the Metropolitan Police Department where charges are pending.

In a similar incident last month, the White House went into lockdown when a man climbed over the same side of the fence carrying two bags.
