Man dies after falling off Grand Canyon rim

A Texas man has died after falling off the south rim of the Grand Canyon on Saturday.

John N. Anderson, of Grapevine, Texas, was traveling with his family when he went over the ledge, falling about 350 feet near the El Tovar lodge on Saturday, national park officials said.

Park rangers were unable to resuscitate Anderson.

The incident is being investigated by the National Park Service and the Coconino County, Ariz., medical examiner.
