March 15 (UPI) -- Sybrina Fulton, the mother of slain Florida teen Trayvon Martin, was the keynote speaker Friday at Milwaukee (Wis.) Area Technical College's Soul Food Celebration.

Fulton shared her story as mother of the teenager shot to death by George Zimmerman, who said he did so based on Florida's Stand Your Ground law.

She told the audience she wanted to stop profiling against children.

"If it happened to Trayvon it can happen to other kids as well. We have work to do we have to stay busy, vigilant on trying to solve this issue," she said.
