Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority officials said the first car of the two-car train crashed into a wall near Kenmore Station, injuring nine passengers and the operator.
Though six patients were taken to the hospital, none appeared to have serious injuries.
An MBTA photo shows the train leaning off the track and into the wall.
“It was a big cluster of people not knowing what happened,” said a 19-year-old college student who missed two classes. “I had no clue what was going on.”
