WASHINGTON, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- According to a New York Times/CBS poll, more than 80 percent of self-described Democrats want former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to run for president in 2016.

In addition to the Democrats, 52 percent of self-described Independents would support a Clinton run. The jury is a little more divided on Vice President Joe Biden, with 42 percent wanting him to run and 39 percent not wanting him to run. Both Clinton and Biden have not made a public announcement of a decision, but neither have ruled out the possibility of a 2016 campaign.

Despite Clinton's popularity, Biden has said that her decision will not influence his either way.
