LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Feb. 17 (UPI) -- A girl was killed when a Little Rock, Ark., man fired shots into a car occupied by seven teens who allegedly vandalized the shooter's car, police said Monday.

Adrian Broadway, 15, was shot in the head and died early Sunday while the car was parked at a convenience store. Police arrested Willie Noble, 48, and charged him with first-degree murder, terroristic threatening and aggravated assault counts, the (Little Rock) Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported.

Three 15-year-olds, a 17-year-old, a 14-year old and the driver, 18, were in the car when police arrived, Little Rock police Lt. Sidney Allen said.

The teens told authorities they played a prank on an individual at his home, vandalizing his car, after which he exited his home, followed them and fired at their vehicle.

"They were trying to be teenagers," said Laguyia Bland, a friend of Broadway's, at a candlelight vigil service Sunday night. "As you know, teenagers make mistakes, and this was one of those mistakes."

The vigil was held at McClellan Magnet High School in Little Rock, KARK-TV, Little Rock, reported.
