DEFIANCE, Ohio, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Authorities labeled the deaths of four people found in a home south of Defiance, Ohio, as a triple murder-suicide.

Defiance County sheriff's deputies said it appeared Robert Garza Sr. killed his wife Christine, daughter Zoila and granddaughter Rebecca before taking his own life. The Garza family members' ages were not released.

The family was last seen alive about 3 p.m. Wednesday and deputies found the bodies about 8:30 p.m. Thursday after being asked by a relative to conduct a welfare check, the (Toledo) Blade reported.
