WASHINGTON, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- A decision on whether to seek the Democratic presidential nomination will come next summer, Vice President Joe Biden told CNN Friday.

"There may be reasons I don't run, but there's no obvious reason for me why I think I should not run," he said on CNN's "New Day."

A decision would be made "realistically, a year this summer," Biden said.

Biden, 71, sought to be the democratic presidential nominee in 2008, when then Sen. Barack Obama was the party's standard-bearer.
