Colorado nabs state's top fugitive sex offender

COLORADO SPRINGS, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Colorado's top fugitive sex offender was arrested Wednesday in Colorado Springs when he showed up for a doctor's appointment, authorities said.

The state's Bureau of Investigation said El Paso County sheriff's deputies took Roger Dale Price, 61, into custody without incident about 8 a.m., KUSA-TV, Denver, reported.

Price, who was convicted of multiple counts of kidnapping and sex assault against a child in Arkansas in 1999, had a felony warrant for failure to register as a sex offender. He was being held without bail at the El Paso County Jail, the TV station said.
