TEMECULA, Calif., Feb. 3 (UPI) -- A California man is facing charges after allegedly pulling a gun on a girl who was selling cookies door-to-door, police said.

The girl was knocking on doors in Temecula Sunday when the suspect, identified as John Dodrill, 59, allegedly pulled a gun on her, the Riverside County Sheriff's Office said in a release.

The girl's father called police after allegedly witnessing Dodrill open his door and point a gun at his daughter.

When police arrived at the scene Dodrill was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
