WEST VANCOUVER, Wash., Feb. 3 (UPI) -- A workplace shooting at a Benjamin Moore Paints store in West Vancouver, Wash., Monday left two people dead, including the alleged shooter's boss, police said.
A 911 call indicated the alleged shooter came to the workplace on his day off and shot his boss, the (Vancouver, Wash.) Columbian reported.
Police arrived to find the victim lying on the ground at another storefront in the multitenant building. They found what was believed to be the shooter's 2001 red Acura at 28th and Thompson streets -- not far from the paint store -- and observed the vehicle's windows fogging. After breaking the car's window, police found a male body inside, the newspaper said.
Police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said police have identified both dead people but were not prepared to release their names or their relationship, only saying they knew each other.
The shooter was described as bald, in his 60s, 5-feet 11-inches and 205 pounds.
"As (police) arrived, we had located a victim and obviously had someone potentially outstanding," Kapp said. "We did locate that individual a very short time later, who was also deceased. There is no threat to the general public at all at this point."
Detectives were investigating, and trauma counselors were on the scene, the newspaper said.
