Jan. 28, 2014 at 10:15 PM   |   Comments

WASHINGTON, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- President Obama in his State of the Union speech Tuesday said the United States will stick with Israel in its efforts to reach peace with the Palestinians.

He said the peace talks are difficult and must end with dignity and an independent state for Palestinians for there to be lasting peace and security for Israel.

He said Israel "knows America will always be at their side."
