PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- A second suspect in the shooting of two students at a Philadelphia high school turned himself in Saturday, police say.
The suspect, a 17-year-old boy, had been wanted in the wounding of an 18-year-old female student and a 17-year-old male student at Delaware Valley Charter High School Friday, WCAU-TV, Philadelphia, reported.
Another suspect in the shooting surrendered to police Friday. He has not been charged.
The 17-year-old suspect has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault and other offenses.
Investigators said the female victim was shot in the left arm, with the bullet passing through her bicep and hitting the male victim in the shoulder. Both were taken to a hospital, where the boy remained in stable condition. The girl was treated and released.
A 15-year-old questioned shortly after the shooting was released without charges.
The shooting was the second incident involving a weapon at a charter school this week, KYW-TV, Philadelphia, reported. A 17-year-old was arrested Wednesday after a loaded .45-caliber semi-automatic was found in his book bag at a West Philadelphia school.
