18 treated for smoke inhalation at JFK Airport

NEW YORK, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- Eighteen people were treated for smoke inhalation Tuesday after a trash fire broke out at the Lufthansa cargo area at New York's JFK Airport, officials said.

Firefighters were able to put the fire out within 30 minutes, the Fire Department of New York told WNBC-TV, New York.

Fourteen people were treated on the scene, while four others were treated at a local hospital, the TV station said.
