OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- A federal judge in Oklahoma Tuesday ruled that state's ban on same-sex marriages unconstitutional, but stayed that ruling pending appeal.
U.S. District Judge Terence Kern said the ban, approved by voters in November 2004, violated the constitutional principle of equal treatment under the law.
