SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Thirteen flu deaths have been confirmed in the San Francisco Bay Area this season, officials said Saturday.

Some Bay Area clinics and pharmacies in the Berkeley area were running low on vaccine supplies, but a flu clinic Saturday in San Rafael had plenty of shots available, KGO-TV, San Francisco, reported.

Officials say there is still time to get vaccinated, which can reduce the chance of contracting the virus by 50 percent to 70 percent.
