ROLAND, Okla., Dec. 30 (UPI) -- A suspect in a triple slaying in Colorado was arrested in Oklahoma, authorities said.
The sheriff's office in Pueblo County, Colo., said Harry Mapps, 59, was taken into custody Saturday night at a motel near Interstate 40 in Roland, Okla., KDVR-TV, Denver, reported.
Mapps is suspected in the deaths of a Pueblo County couple and their adult daughter, whose bodies were found in their burned-out home Thanksgiving Day, the TV station said.
A warrant said Mapps was wanted for three counts of first-degree murder, and felony charges of theft, identity theft, forgery and arson in the deaths of Reginald Tuttle, 51, Kim Tuttle, 55, and their 33-year-old daughter Dawn Roderick.
"The successful outcome of this large-scale manhunt is a testament to the combined efforts of law enforcement across numerous states and jurisdictions." U.S. Marshal John Kammerzell said. "I am honored that the Marshals Service could assist in bringing the alleged perpetrator of this horrific crime to justice."
