BROOKLINE, N.H., Dec. 25 (UPI) -- A Brookline, N.H., woman who died in a three-car accident was pulled from her vehicle by her firefighter father, not knowing it was his daughter, police said.

Katie Hamilton, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene Tuesday after her car was struck from behind by a truck driven by Greg Cullen, 31. The impact knocked Hamilton's car into the path of a truck driven by James Ciprotti, 37. Neither Cullen nor Ciprotti were injured, the (Manchester, N.H.) Union Leader reported Wednesday.

Hamilton's father, a firefighter, was among the first rescue workers to arrive at the scene.

"Her father was the one who pulled her out of the car without knowing it was her," Brookline Police Chief William Quigley told the newspaper.
