Court rejects appeal of man who claimed his tattoos influenced judge

CARSON CITY, Nev., Dec. 19 (UPI) -- A man's appeal that his "Pimp Daddy" tattoo caused a judge to sentence him to more jail time than he deserved was rejected Thursday by the Nevada Supreme Court.

Michael C. Wright, who pleaded guilty to a charge of failure to register as a sex offender in Winnemucca, Nev., asked that his sentence of 12-months to 34 months be served concurrent to two other sentences, court records said.

District Court Judge Michael Montero ordered the sentences to be served consecutively, the Las Vegas Sun reported.

"The record does not support Wright's contention that the district court penalized him for his tattoos," the Supreme Court ruling said.
