CINCINNATI, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- American Eagle Flight 3162 returned to Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport shortly after takeoff due to a smoke alarm going off, officials said.
The flight was en route Monday to Dallas when a level two emergency was declared, WCPO-TV, Cincinnati, reported Tuesday.

The flight landed without incident and no one was injured, airport spokeswoman Melissa Wideman said. Fifty-three people, including crew, were evacuated when the plane returned to the terminal.
Maintenance crews were inspecting the aircraft to ensure it was flight-worthy, WCPO said.
