Man sought in Colorado triple slaying

RYE, Colo., Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Authorities said they were looking Saturday for a man suspected of shooting three people found dead in their home near Rye, Colo., and then torching the house.

An arrest warrant issued in Pueblo County identified the "primary suspect" in the slayings as Harry Carl Mapps, 59.

Until recently, Mapps had been living with Reginald Burton Tuttle, 51, and his wife Kim Tuttle 55, who were found dead along with Dawn Roderick, 33, on Thanksgiving Day.

Pueblo County Coroner James Kramer said the three victims had been shot to death.

Mapps' estranged wife, Sandy Martin, 52, said he moved from their home in Dimmit, Texas, to Rye about six months ago to live with his long-time friends, the Tuttles. The couple asked Mapps, who was working as a dispatcher for Reginald Tuttle's trucking company, to leave their home about a week ago, the newspaper said.
