Emergency slide deploys mid-flight on JetBlue plane

ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 21 (UPI) -- JetBlue Flight 1266 bound for Boston diverted to Orlando (Fla.) International Airport after an emergency slide partially deployed midflight, the airline said.

The flight, which originated in Fort Myers, Fla., landed safely at about 3:45 p.m. EST Wednesday in Orlando, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

The slide "partially deployed into the front galley" of the plane. No injuries were reported to the four crew members and 73 passengers aboard, JetBlue said.

"The aircraft was taken out of service for further inspection," JetBlue spokesman Loren Duran said.

The passengers were put on another flight bound for Boston at 5 p.m.
