WASHINGTON, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- President Obama awards the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the top civilian honor, to those who made meritorious contributions, the White House said Wednesday.

The daily schedule indicates that Obama will:

-- Receive, with Vice President Joe Biden, the Presidential Daily Briefing.

-- Visit, with first lady Michelle Obama, Arlington National Cemetery to participate in a wreath laying ceremony to commemorate the life and legacy of President John F. Kennedy.

-- Meet with representatives from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners to discuss implementation issues associated with the Affordable Care Act and other insurance-related issues.

-- Speak at a dinner in honor of Presidential Medal of Freedom recipients at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.
