HOUSTON, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Two Texas men have been charged with kidnapping a teenage trick-or-treater and raping her before releasing her 10 hours later, police say.
Eric Bonilla, 23, has been charged with aggravated kidnapping and sexual assault of a child, while Daryl Wayne Mayberry, 38, is charged with aggravated kidnapping, the Houston Chronicle reported Monday.
The 14-year-old girl was trick-or-treating with friends in an East Houston neighborhood Oct. 31 when she was lured the men's pickup, police said. They allegedly drove to a nearby park where Bonilla raped her while Mayberry acted as lookout.
The men released the girl early Monday and she walked to her school where her parents picked her up, police said.
The parents drove around the neighborhood until the girl recognized the truck parked in front of a home. They called police, who arrested Bonilla.
Bonilla has been released on $30,000 bond, but police said a warrant for Mayberry was still outstanding.
