TEMECULA, Calif., Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Four of the five people aboard a hot air balloon were injured Saturday when there was an explosion after it landed, authorities said.

The accident occurred before 7:45 a.m. near Temecula, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The Riverside County Fire Department said one victim was sent to a burn center and two others were taken to trauma centers, while a fourth suffered minor injuries.

Department spokesman Mark Annas said the balloon had reached the ground safely, "and then, there was an explosion."
