Oct. 9, 2013 at 11:26 AM

WHITE DEER TOWNSHIP, Pa., Oct. 9 (UPI) -- One person is dead in an early Wednesday crash of a Greyhound bus in Pennsylvania that left dozens injured, state police say.

The bus, bound for Cleveland from New York City, was traveling on Interstate 80 when it hit the back end of a truck hauling garbage on a trailer, The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer reported.

More than 40 people were injured in the 1:30 a.m. crash in Union County, said Pennsylvania State Trooper Matthew Burrows.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured, but the bus driver was "seeking medical attention," Burrows said.
