Passenger dies on flight from Chicago to Tokyo

CHICAGO, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Japan Airlines Flight 0009 to Tokyo returned to Chicago Sunday after an elderly passenger became seriously ill and later died, the airline said

A spokeswoman for the airline said the flight departed O'Hare International Airport about 1:45 p.m. CDT and returned about 3:46 p.m., the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

The 81-year-old man, whose name was not released, was taken to Resurrection Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.
