Biker club shooting in Fresno, Calif., leaves 1 dead, several injured

FRESNO, Calif., Oct. 6 (UPI) -- A weekend dance at the Soul Brothers biker clubhouse in Calwa, Calif., turned into a shootout that left one man dead and several people wounded, police said.

The man killed in the early Saturday was identified by the Fresno County Coroner's Office as Dejuan Gladney, 18, no home town, the Fresno Bee reported.

County sheriff's spokesman Chris Curtice said the dance had attracted about 500 people.

The shooting started inside the clubhouse about 2 a.m. PDT before moving outside, the newspaper said.

KFSN-TV, Fresno, reported up to 100 law enforcement officers converged on the clubhouse.

Those injured were treated for wounds that ranged from minor to extremely serious, the TV station said.
