Police told the Los Angeles Times a vehicle with six people inside was speeding south on Interstate 5 when the driver attempted to get off at the Scott Road exit in Burbank about 4:20 a.m. and lost control. The vehicle struck a concrete barrier and burst into flames.

Five people inside the vehicle were killed. A sixth person was ejected from the car.
