Report of explosion at Columbus, Ohio, police headquarters

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- The police headquarters in downtown Columbus, Ohio, was evacuated Tuesday evening after the report of an explosion, officials said.

Dozens of fire trucks and police vehicles surrounded the building at 120 Marconi Blvd., which was evacuated shortly after someone inside reported a loud noise that sounded like an explosion at 7:25 p.m. local time, The Columbus Dispatch reported.

Officials said there was no smoke visible, and no injuries had been reported.
